UHAS School Feeding Program scrapped off,School fees reduced.

Students of the University of Health and Allied Sciences popularly known sarcastically as the public university with the highest fees in Ghana has scrapped a component of the school fees which is believed to be the cause for the high fees.

Feeding is a special aspect of the university's fees component which makes the university unique among traditional universities and it's co-equals.

This feeding initiative allow fresh students of the university to have  18 weeks(First semester) of 1meal per day at a cost of GHC6 daily.

To students who are from less privileged background, they deem it a nice initiative because at least they can manage GHC 50 per month alongside the feeding program aside admitting the fact that the school fees is high

While the argument from the other side is that; the feeding component (GHC6 per day) makes the school fees look exorbitant and it is  needless since university students are matured and they have the autonomy to decide what dey would want to consume.

In view of this, various stakeholders have kowtow to the idea and at long last the component has been scrapped off.

The feeding program has been in existence since 2012/2013 academic year to 2018/2019 academic year.

This sounds as a good news to all freshmen, sandwich students of School of Allied Health sciences as well.

According to a credible source, prohypegh.blogspot.com can confirm that the above mentioned category of students would be paying less school fees in the 2019/2020 academic year.

This development came as a surprise to many continuing student because of how the school fees trend has been over the years. The trend has been as the years go by, the school fees increases.
If indeed its true, the students body would be grateful to the past SRC President Asare Derrick and the current Ag. SRC President and all past and present executives together with UHAS management for a good work done.
