On the 18th of November 2018,the UHAS-Ho TESCON launched the idea of supporting the Free shs initiative started by our excellency the president NADAA.
Providing free access to shs education .
The Hardworking and dedicated team, including the regional tescon cordinators came out with a plan to provide customized exercise books with the colors of the party and the first gentleman of the country, and the picture of The Energy minister John Peter Amewu who is a Patron and a sponsor of the initiative to see daylight.
On the 4th of April a group of Tesconians, the Volta regional youth organizer hopeful, Raymond Cardigah, the regional TESCON coordinators and TESCON presidents and executives visited the Ame Zion
School and Holy Rosary catholic schools in the Hohoe municipal and made donations to the prospective schools.
The team was well recieved by the head teachers who expressed their gratitude for the materials given to them and asked that this shouldn't be the end of thier visit to their schools
A teacher at the AME zion school created an awareness that they lacked source of lightening around the school, making it difficult for them to keep the area safe and prevent thieves from coming to steal from them
And also asked that they help them get more support from the government since the school lacked a lot of things
The team took some time to mingle with the school children and later bid them farewell wishing them all the best.
In an exclusive with Mr. Addo Clinton the TESCON President Ho campus, he made it known that
10% out of the 10, 000 books project has been executed and what they did was just the first face of the project.
