The year of return has seen a lot of activities taking place within our country Ghana and lots of visitors and citizens who stay in foreign countries coming home. One of the key issues been tackled before these people arrive has been the issue of sanitation. Many people have taken it upon themselves to promote such an agenda and prominent among these people is Felicia Tawiah Nuna popularly known by her stage name as Feli Nuna.
On the 30th of July had an interaction with students of St Mary's Senior High School
,Sacred Heart Secondary Technical
, School of Public Health ,Korle Bu NMTC,Holy Trinity Senior High and the School of Hygiene.
Seated at the high table as Guest Speakers were Feli Nuna,Professor George Asare chairman for the occasion,College of Health Sciences,Dr Rev Tom Ndanu , Lecturer at College of Health Sciences and University of Ghana ,Madam Comfort Kublenu ,Deputy Director of Nursing at Ghana Health Service.
In her speech delivered, she touched on the need to have a clean environment and the role of the Celebrities in making this dream a reality. She asked that both fans and friends help them to propagate the message. She also pointed out that individuals,cooperate organizations and NGO that wish to champion such an ideology shouldn’t hesitate to call on the celebrities to ask for their support .We see your comments online,’so keep reminding us about our promises to keep the environment clean and don’t forget to share this message as you would share our music videos and audios’.Also a key note advise was for the Celebrities not to concentrate on the money and the endorsement deals but to have their country and people at heart and help make Ghana and the world a clean place. In her closing address she asked that each and everyone promise to be ambassadors for Sanitation and called or their conscience to wake up and keep them all on their promises made.‘Every Ghanaian should be an ambassador for clean environment’ she concluded with.
The love and reception to this bold move by her has won the hearts of all those who were at the lecture. Her slogan Edzoleme which means there is Fire in it should help us all remember to keep the clean environment dream burning.
