All Final years are disqualified,SRC elections! Matters Arising.

If your memory serves you right, you should remember all the hurdles that came with last academic year’s elections. Lots of brouhaha and confusions led to many losing hope in the process we were supposed to trust.
Issues ranging from disqualifications and others trying to tarnish the names of their colleagues  just to see their candidates on the throne. The EC was not left out of the equation where most of the members were accused of fraud and as such led to many calling on the Court to place an injunction on the electioneering process. If you could still remember, the Vice Chancellor of The University had to come in and calm the stormy weather around the students.
If the constitution of the university’s SRC is to be respected and held to be the highest book to contain all regulations and rules. All final years do not qualify to hold the position of the SRC president. Now the big question is, did they fight for no cause or they shouldn’t have fought but rather allow the process to move on ? These and many questions students have running through their minds.
To make all these simple, current Level 200,300’s qualify to take up the leadership position but same cannot be said for those in their final years. The only exemptions are those who are schooling for more than 4 years and as such have the chance to even contest in their fifth year.
Who do you think takes over. ? Do you have personal plans ? Or you have someone in mind ?
